Now is the time to set your writing goals for next year and we’re not just talking about word counts. We’ll discuss ten ways to get ready for a new year of writing. Then join us for our end of the year party. You can bring a wrapped book (craft or fiction) for the gift exchange and feel free to bring treats to share if you’d like.
Bio
Nicki Salcedo
Nicki Salcedo has a degree in English and Creative Writing from Stanford University. She is the author of "All Beautiful Things" and three books of essays. She is a past President of Georgia Romance Writers and an active participant in various writing communities and a frequently requested guest and keynote speaker. She is a two-time Maggie Award recipient and a Golden Heart Finalist. She is a guest lecturer for Emory University's Goizueta Business School Senior Seminar Series and a teacher with Emory Continuing Education's Writing Certificate Program. Nicki is a freelance writer, movie reviewer, and journalist. She lives in Decatur with her husband, four kids, and cats. She loves connecting with writers and readers. Ann Michelle Harris
Born in Jamaica and raised in Atlanta, Ann Michelle Harris is a lawyer by day who writes crime, romantic suspense, and fantasy stories. She has an English degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Emory University School of Law. She is a Maggie finalist, a double finalist in the Pages From the Heart contest, and a finalist for the Eleanor Taylor Bland Award for emerging crime writers of color from Sisters in Crime. Her short story “Changeling” is featured in the grifter crime anthology Hook, Line, and Sinker. Her YA fantasy romance novel North debuts in January, 2025. She is a member of Sisters in Crime, Sisters in Crime Atlanta, Atlanta Writers Club, and she is on the executive board of Georgia Romance Writers. In addition to fiction, she writes sci-fi/fantasy reviews for the double Hugo Award winning Nerds of a Feather and was recently in Glasgow, Scotland for their second win at Glasgow WorldCon.
