Mission Statement

Georgia Romance Writers is made up of more than 200 serious, professional writers, the majority of whom are multi-published in book-length fiction.

A non-profit organization, we are dedicated to bringing quality fiction to the market. Georgia Romance Writers is inclusive of authors and characters of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, ages, body sizes, physical appearances, disabilities, neurodiversities, gender identities and
expressions, sexual orientations, religions, and other categories.

Our mission is to promote high quality romance writing; to disseminate information regarding all aspects of the romance genre; and to give support and encouragement to members.

Things We Offer

We are known for our prestigious writing contest, The Maggies, as well as our regional conference, Moonlight & Magnolias. We have a fine tradition in helping our unpublished members learn the skills they need in order to be successful, including our Virginia Ellis Critique Workshop each March and an all-day intensive workshop each April.
